Welcome to Bare Necessities. By purchasing our products, registering for a class, or using our website, you agree to the following Terms of Service.
1. Class Registration
Registration is confirmed only after full payment has been received. Class sizes are limited, and your seat is reserved specifically for you.
Participants must be at least 18 years old unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and approved by Bare Necessities.
2. Cancellation & Refund Policy
All class registrations are final and non-refundable.
Because each class requires advance preparation, pre-measured ingredients, reserved seating, and dedicated instructor time, refunds cannot be provided for cancellations or missed classes.
Rescheduling requests may be approved at the sole discretion of Bare Necessities and are subject to class availability. Approval of one request does not guarantee approval of future requests.
No-shows are not eligible for refunds or rescheduling.
3. Safety
Cold process soap making involves working with sodium hydroxide (lye), which can cause burns if handled improperly.
All participants must:
- Follow instructor directions at all times.
- Wear the required safety equipment provided.
- Inform the instructor of any allergies or sensitivities before class.
Bare Necessities reserves the right to remove any participant whose behavior creates a safety risk. No refunds will be issued in these circumstances.
4. Assumption of Risk
By participating, you acknowledge that soap making involves inherent risks, including exposure to lye, fragrances, essential oils, and other materials.
You voluntarily assume these risks and agree to participate responsibly.
5. Product Information
Our artisan soaps are handcrafted in small batches. Because each bar is handmade, colors, patterns, weight, and appearance may vary slightly.
Our products are intended for cosmetic use only and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition.
Customers with allergies should carefully review ingredient lists before use.
6. Pickup of Soap
Student soap loaves require time to harden before pickup.
Bare Necessities will notify participants when their soap is ready.
If pre-cut soap is selected, the loaf will be cut prior to pickup. Otherwise, participants will receive the entire loaf to cut themselves.
7. Intellectual Property
All class materials, worksheets, recipes, photographs, logos, branding, and website content are the property of Bare Necessities and may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without written permission.
8. Photography
Photos or videos may occasionally be taken during classes for promotional purposes.
If you prefer not to appear in photos or videos, please notify the instructor before class begins.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bare Necessities is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in classes or use of our products.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the applicable class or product.
10. Changes to These Terms
Bare Necessities reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. The most current version will be available on our website.
